Hi. My name is Marlene Sharpe-Westwood and I have been teaching exercise and dance classes for 30 years. I teach exercise classes in Cambridge and surrounding areas that are suitable for adults of all age groups and abilities but I like to push peoples fitness limits if I think they are able.
I enjoy the courses that I attend to keep my qualifications up to date even though it can be difficult to fit them in to my busy life.
I like to lead a healthy life myself and can advise on diet and nutrition as well as exercise.
Keeping fit and healthy is a lifestyle. I like to have fun whilst keeping fit so I try to make my classes fun too! I try to make the class interesting by interacting with the clients , often discussing the latest health and fitness news.
I enter fun runs, use the gym and walk my dog every day for my personal fitness as well as joining in my own classes. I have also recently taken up cyclng. Keeping fit enables me to enjoy teaching without getting tired or injured. By maintaining my fitness level I still have enough energy left to enjoy being with my family which includes playing with my five grandchildren.
